PRESS TRIP @AAPET EN VILLENA: VINO, HISTORIA Y SABOR

Imagen
MGwinesgroup Bode...

FIFTH DAY - F&B DEPARTMENT

Imagen
Today I learned about some terms related  to the Food & Beverage department. I would like to highlight its gastronomic offer orchestrated by Chef Alexandre Santos, characterised by a mix of Portuguese tradition and iinovation. The Panorama restaurant offers magnificent views of the city of Coimbra.  In the afternoon, visit to Porto, a crowded city but highly recommended!

FOURTH DAY - HOUSEKEEPING AREA

Imagen
Today I was able to see the facilities linked to the Housekeeping department (offices, laundry, etc.). In addition, I saw different types of rooms and learned about the cleaning procedure.  I learned about things related to the external laundry service and the management of the laundry and ironing service offered by the hotel.

THIRD DAY - EVENTS DEPARTMENT

Imagen
Today I was able to see the facilities linked to event management, their characteristics, equipment and services. The visit was led by the director, who also explained to me the type of events that are marketed at the Hotel D. Luis, the season in which they are held, contracting conditions, as well as the procedure for booking. In the afternoon I visited Aveiro, known as the Portuguese Venice. I recommend a ride on a Moliceiro boat and tasting the ‘ovos moles’, a typical sweet of the region.

SECOND DAY - RECEPTION DEPARTMENT

Imagen
Today I had the opportunity to get to know the reception area, its team, as well as the most important processes for the correct management: check-in, check-out, booking. In addition, I have discovered items related to tour operators, travel agencies, commissions and so on.  In addition, I have researched on the typology of clients according to seasons, their characteristics, average stay, etc.

On the first day of my stay I met the manager, who kindly showed me around the hotel and explained the services offered. We talked about aspects related to the hotel management.  We also talked about the qualities and characteristics for recruiting staff. In the afternoon a short walk to discover the city of Coimbra.

COIMBRA - DESTINATION STEEPED IN HISTORY

Imagen
This year the adventure took place at the D. Luís Coimbra hotel, a benchmark in the area's accommodation offer. I would like to highlight the friendliness of his manager and his willingness to transfer knowledge. The hotel is located in a privileged area with fantastic views of the  Mondego river and the highlights of Coimbra. In the hotel I had the opportunity to get to know first hand the services offered, the work team and some of the processes of the Reception Department, Housekeeping Department, Events and F&B. I have also been able to visit some emblematic places, such as Fátima, Aveiro, Porto, etc. I show you some pictures of this adventure. Highly recommended!!!!
